Life Ring

This picture was taken in my hometown Gdynia (Poland). It belongs to the series 'Outside' on which I am working right now. It originated in my fascination with emptiness and areas of transition, places on the edge, on the edge of the world of nature and culture. It shows how these two worlds pervade each other. Using landscape I try to portray human experience, human condition. What creates this image is the subtle soft light, just before the sunset.
