her name is laura...

...and she didn't mind

having a black box - shoved in her face...

a very pretty face - i thought - i told her so - and that i'd be honored - if she'd allow me to take her portrait - "oh sure," she said - as if it was no bother at all - proceeding to strike several poses for me

snap, snap, snap

i ended up choosing this - more demure one - versus a straight on - eyes wide open - look at me, in the camera one - it simply struck me - you know how that goes, right? how 1 shot sort of speaks to you - in a way the others don't - how you view them all - yet your gaze keeps going back to the 1 - which is how it was with this - i don't know how to explain why that happens - and it's not like i take the best of portraits - i desparately need the practice - although i believe this turned out fairly well and for today - it's the shot that's made for...

a

happy day.....
