Ruddy hell

Everton 2 Norwich 0
Back at Goodison today for the first time in what seems like ages.
2-0 certainly wasn't flattering and the game should really have been out of sight for Norwich by half time, but Everton like to make you me sweat. In truth the Blues played very, very well and didn't look remotely threatened until the last 15 minutes when a couple of substitutions gave Norwich a bit of impetus but by then it was too late -I can say that now.
The season's shaping up nicely.

This is John Ruddy, another former Evertonian. He only made one appearance for the club but it was a bit of an odd one...
The 1st and 2nd choice goalkeepers -Nigel Martyn & Richard Wright- were both injured for a game against Blackburn in 2006 so 3rd choice Iain Turner started in goal. He then got sent off for handling outside the area after 9 minutes leaving John Ruddy here to come on in his place...and keep a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.
He certainly got a good reception today...not sure what it would have been like if we'd lost though.
