Devil Dance

We went to the grand opening of a new community center in Cuenca, Casa de la Vida, and enjoyed the festivities. They had a rousing performance of a local troupe, Yawarkanchik, doing a dance variation of the La Diablada feast, a “dance with the devils."

“Ever dance with the devil by the pale moon light”?
~ This was said by Jack Nicholson's character, Joker, from the film Batman in 1989. The film was directed by Tim Burton. This dialogue is then repeated by Batman when he is about to punch Joker on his face.
