Expect the Unexpected

Our dear friend Arul invited us to a launch of a possible new centre for his business BrainOBrain. This is a company that teaches children how to learn to use their brains differently by using the abacus initially and then by being able to do remarkable calculations without it. One little boy played some music on his keyboard while doing two simultaneous maths calculations. It really is remarkable. But as well as that when we arrive they were playing Christmas music and then a country and western version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer ... only in India!! and the sound for some of the slide displays was created by resting a microphone by the laptop and of course the mike at one point fell off !!! But we were so well looked after .. we were given water, juice, tea and samosas... and people here were so very very welcoming as always ...
