Home is where the heart is

We discovered Katelios Kefelonia in May 2006 and fell in love with the place. This is just 1 of the hundreds pictures we have taken there of that moment in time.This is our view from our veranda where we always stop. It always bring tears to my eyes when we travel down to the village from the mountains on the way to our holiday apartment which looks out to the seas. We had been searching, covertly for that moment of stillness, to become one with the universe, stop and know peace in this busy fast track world. We never understood why people could return to the same place year in and year out, until we discovered Katelios & Kefelonia. We found it here in 2006 and return every year just like so many of us who are returning visitors.

We have been returning ever since to this beautiful sleepy fishing village, where you really can stop the world and get off. Leisurely days eating breakfast on the beach front, stepping over onto the beach to soak up the sun, or for the men a spot of fishing by the harbor. The restaurant owners who have become friends wait on you as you capture the warm sun and listen to music, read a light hearted book, meditate yet you can still have company. Yet everyone seems to know when space is needed. Here time has stopped in a modern way. You can still have the access to the outside world of WI-FI and modem amenities yet this place is the cradle for civilization to truly unwind and be at 1 with the universe
