Another Andalucian Sunset

This morning me and Jen went on a bit of an explore, as 14kms for a supermarket is ridicukous. Alcaucin did not promise much from wht we had read but it turned out that was because the people who stayed in the Villa previously and left helpful tips in the book were obviously Philistines! There were 2 small shops and a butchers in the village but as they did not sell any British produce and the staff did not speak any English they had been written off as useless. Despite this you could get a wide range of Spanish produce that functions in exactly the same way as it's domestic countepart (though we accidentally bought bleach instead of washing up liquid as it was in an old fashioned fairy liquid bottle).

For most of the rest of the day we drank and ate in the rather dodgy restaurant where the photo was taklen 'El Rancho Grande'. My meal was actually very nice, Octopus (Pulpo in Spanish) with Paprika and I had a taste of Jen's 'Chivo al Horno' (Goat cooked in the oven) which was also nice despite being served with chips. The in-laws weren't too fond of there's though I don' think.

I must point out as well that the morning when we left the Villa '...by the back gate as that is where the shortcut to the Venta is...' we discovered that this shortcut is about 400m up a 45° hill and you need a Venta to stop for a pint ( a 'Venta' is an Inn).
