Afternoon Walk - Beach at Nieuw Haamstede

The beach at Nieuw Haamstede is 'my' beach (not hubby's because he has to climb a hill and hike a kilometer, which is murder for his lungs). The whole area is actually called the 'Kop van Schouwe' (difficult to translate), a nature reserve. This is what I thought of visiting yesterday, but now I am glad I had put it off. A Monday usually means a quiet beach this time of the year, so it turned out to be a good decision. Added plus -- FREE parking between 01 October and 01 April. In short, an altogether pleasant day ... and as of this writing, it isn't over yet.
