Barbican reflections

Ooh, I do love a Barbican puddle!

Today I ate far too much cake - my colleague Chris makes the biggest and best cakes for her birthday each year and it's so hard not to try each of the four different cakes she brings in to work! - so I went for a short walk before eating my lunch, in order to work off some of the cake and work up an appetite.

I found myself in a part of the Barbican complex that I rarely go to, and it was such a good place to photograph. There is a lot of work going on there, reinstating flower beds, etc - and it looks pleasingly derelict in the bits they've not done yet. Not sure how the residents in this area feel about it, but I love it!
