Monday Night Football

On the south side of Glasgow you can play five a side football at the Stade De France, Olympia Stadion and even the Camp Neu. The similarity ends with the names on the boards.
Sometime between Xmas and New Year in a pub somewhere in Finnieston a few friends and neighbours convinced me to pull on my old trainers and start kicking a ball with them again, after an absence of eight months.
Tonight it was cold, wet and miserable. We got beaten. And I did not play well because I am still five yards off the pace, which is a long way on a short park.
But I loved it.....playing on a park called the Camp Neu. The magic of football.
