Spoonbills

We went to Hart Creek this afternoon, not expecting to see much during the middle of the day. There were scaup, white-faced herons and both black and mute swans along the creek, the black swan with cygnets, and a lot of activity on the lake, down by the bird hide. The spoonbills were playing around in the scrubby vegetation just off shore, and a group of them flew off into the reeds.
