italian garden

today i got the tube to lancaster gate instead of south kensington and walked through kensington gardens, along the long water. lancaster gate is directly opposite the fountains in the italian garden, and i am quite fond of them.

this picture is of the tazza fountain which is at the end of the gardens, and the water from it tumbles down straight into the long water. i've not seen a fountain do that before.

there was a fun small girl pottering around the fountains and saying boo to a swan. i wanted to take a photograph of her with the swan because it was very funny, but i do not quite have the nerve to take photos of strangers yet
