Muscovy Duck ...

Found this duck on my way to the garage to get my car after the famous periodical MOT test for cars. It proved an expensive joke this time. But that aside.

I saw the duck while it was not in the water nor on the grass besides the water, but sitting on a metal fence. I didn't recognize the species but I thought that no problem cos I have that nice Detlef Singer 'Birds of Europe' to look up specific birds.

To my surprise this duck was not in the guide. I finall found it on the internet through a long series of images of ducks: a Muscovy Duck. When you click on the link you find some interesting information and also a colored version of the duck ... ;)
