The "Big Bite"

The drive across the Nullabor is fascinating enough without the fantastic opportunity to drive a short way off the main road across Australia and view the Great Australian Bite. It is absolutely stunning scenery and incredibly difficult to give the true perspective in one humble image.

We went to the newly developed site called "The Head of the Bite". They have built a complex set of viewing platforms as for almost three months of the year the area becomes a nursery for the Southern Right Whales. We are told it is an amazing sight to see so many Mums and their babies swimming in the bay right below you. We are determined to make the trek again to view this wonderful phenomena.
