Catskill-Scape

It's a warm sunny day and all you want to do is drive. Good music, good company, and a long road ahead. You decide to explore unfamiliar territory and head northbound on NY I-87 across the Hudson River and beyond. You get off the interstate after a few well placed rest stops in New Paltz and head west, catching Route 44 on the way. A hairpin curve up a steady incline through lush mountain greenery is the landmark to where the magic begins. Coming from the city and touching the long lost lives of those who lived off the land is what you would expect; but up here they're all running from the city too. The bikers seeking endless highways, artists seeking canvases and inspirations outside of The Village and up in the hills and all the worn out souls trampled by the constant static of the urban life dwell here now. This photograph only seems to capture a small reason why.
