Build a Bear?

Today was Grandchildren Day.
We stayed overnight in Northampton on Saturday night and basically baby-sat the kids for most of the day, which was mainly ferrying them to various parties starting at 9:00am.
We had two of them at lunch-time and went to Milton Keynes to build Evie a bear (for her belated Xmas pressie).
The shop was packed and Evie decided that she didn't want a bear, but a my little pony. So she selected the carcass and the noise it should make when you pressed it and then went to fill it up with stuffing. I was quite pleased that the cost was only about 20 quid. Unfortunately, the next part of the process was dressing it, and I suddenly realised that it had 4 legs instead of the 2 a bear would have had and so there were 2 pairs of shoes and 2 pairs of roller-skates. No wonder the shop added ponies to their range. So after also getting a dress, and a lead, and having named it "Star" which Evie later insisted should have been "Lance" we left the shop with me over 50 quid worse off.

Another party at 6:30 - this time at a place with a 4-storey assault course. Evie was wearing a pinky purple tee shirt, and by the time the activity was over, her face was the same colour. So she was well worn out.

We were worn out too - and that was before the day had started.
Then drove back to Manchester
