Vicktor from the banPeter Jones & The lazy Bandits

Peter Jones started out as a busker in 1987. He busked solo for the next 21 years, but in 2007 he started playing a busking duo with Tam Lawrence, former front-man in legendary busker band "Ooh Sticky".

In 2008, they met solo guitarist Rasmus Stærke Voigt who quickly influenced the band to become acoustic-electric. This was a major turning point.

"Peter Jones & The Lazy Bandits" was born.

In 2010, they were joined by Italian busker Gian Paolo Pastor and Danish one-man-band busker Thomas Bjørn.

Thomas left the band after only a a few months, deciding instead to further develop his solo busking act.

In 2013, Rasmus moved to Berlin, and during this time, it looked like we might be needing a new solo guitarist. We were already admirers of Kristoffer Sejergaard of The Pavement Orchestra, and when their lead singer, Joakim, moved to Odense to attend acting school, and their Tea-Box man, Nikolaj moved to Berlin, it was a natural step to ask Kristoffer to give it a try with The Lazy Bandits.

Not long after, Gian Paolo suddenly decided to leave the band and concentrate on his solo-busking. Yes, 2013 was indeed turning out to be a confusing and eventful year for the band, full of changes and surprises.

To fill in the percussion role, Vicktor Jonasson - well-known night-busker - joined the band.

Around this time, it became apparent that Rasmus wanted to continue with the band after all, but at this stage, Kristoffer was already integrated on the guitar, and Vicktor was playing the brushes drumset...but the solution was at hand. Rasmus had already been the Cajon player in The Pavement Orchestra for a long time (when he wasn´t playing with The Lazy Bandits), so there it was: Rasmus back in the band on Cajon. :)

Finally, it looks like the re-shaped and re-structured Lazy Bandits is in place, and we can once again get back to enjoying the music and the busking without all the doubts and frustrations.

This new constellation seems to working extremely well! A great mix and balance with the right dosis of humor, craziness, creativity, artistic drive etc...

Not to mention the flexibility!

Both Kristoffer and Rasmus can fulfill the solo guitar role at any given time. Vicktor can play brushes or Cajon... Rasmus can perform his own songs...Tam can sing his own songs...Peter can play tambourine (well...kind of...) :)
