ICE ICE BABY

I had to see a patient today in a small town in Cherokee National Forest, and on my way home I stopped to eat my lunch by Goforth Creek, which runs down the mountain over great boulders and into the Ocoee River.

It was so beautiful, but the midday light was harsh and I had little hope of getting any decent shots until I spotted a string of icicles hanging down from a moss covered overhang on the creek.

The biggest challenge was getting into position without me or my camera getting dunked in the creek! My tripod didn't seem to mind getting it's feet wet at all.
