Raccoon

Well, this little guy is used to people, that is for sure. Didn't budge at all when I was busy watering the plants, and later when I took photos. My neighbor will set her trap and move the animal to "safety". I know that her heart is in a good place. Animals rarely survive a move more than a couple of miles though. But, what else can one do? The raccoon should be nocturnal...nevermind that the food is scarce amid the drought perhaps...and they should be more afraid of people. I have to say that I have been around them most of my adult life and have never had any problems with them. Of course, I do not approach them, nor encourage them to be friendly.
