Through the mists

Tall mill chimneys were once a prominent feature of the industrial areas of Yorkshire, famed of yore for its dark satanic mills. There are not many left today, but this one of them.
Today had been programmed very, very carefully to allow for all our activities, and as the weather forecast was promising, it included a quick trip into the countryside for some photography. But the plan did all rather hinge on a builder turning up for an appointment to inspect our roof which has developed a slight leak during downpours and needs to be fixed. Did the builder turn up as promised? Did he heck!!! I spent most of the day trapped indoors waiting for him to arrive or at least for a landline phone call from him to make alternative arrangements, neither of which happened. The result of all this frustration is the photograph above of the scene at the bottom of the valley opposite our home. I’ve played about with it!
