Turnstone - Arenaria interpres

Turnstone - Arenaria interpres

Not a great day weatherwise. When I went out for a blip it was spotting with rain and worse was threatened from the west.

High tide meant that the shore birds were pressed hard up against the sea wall giving a somewhat improved chance of a close encounter. I managed to capture images of both ringed plovers and turnstones but under rather drab lighting.

Round to the northeast, there was a solitary light patch of sky which I photographed and thankfully, it yielded the enhanced colours needed to supplement te birds. Here is the combined result.
