That'll do...

Lunar eclipse?

As tonight was quite a bit clearer than last night, I thought I'd have another go at getting a decent moon shot. However, to my frustration, every shot lacked detail on the moon itself... Fiddling with the settings, flash or no flash, nothing seemed to make a difference. I have no idea where I'm going wrong: the moon shot I managed back in November had a near identical setting. (High ISO, wide open aperture, flash)

Eventually, I realised that centre metering was producing what seemed to be a reflection (?) of the moon itself in the shot. It'll do.

Any advice would be gratefully received!

PS I've just discovered that my camera seems to have an HDR setting :) Something else to experiment with!
