The cool change has happened, life is liveable again.

Actually we had a good morning. We discovered a pottery not too far away which sells the most delightful hanging birdbaths at a very reasonable price; we had morning tea at a very up-market shopping mall we haven't visited before; and I got a blip. It doesn't get much better than that.

It will be a while before the birds get used to their swank new bath, but I did see this beautiful Australian Painted Lady while I was out in the garden.

My heart goes out to all those who are a lot worse off than we are. We dodged the bush-fire bullet, but many have not. There are quite a few fires raging out of control across country South Australia, including the Barossa Valley - the world famous wine region; and there is a devastating fire in the Grampians over the border in Victoria.
