Hard to believe...

Seeing is believing though! This is a Sandisk 8 gig SDHC card which was made in China, if you look at the arrowed points you will see everything from a large chunk broken away of the casing, to the fins parting company too.
This has happened to two of them but NEVER happened to any of the Lexar cards I use and both the Sandisks were read in the same Integral card reader I normally use and all of them handled with extreme care. I guess the plastic was a bad mix, as I do have two other Sandisk cards which are still intact. Not worth the effort of returning them, as it's very likely they would assume _I_ had wrecked them:(
