War-saw...

Stumbled upon this monument as we made our way back from the Old Town. Haven't looked it up, but guessed that the building behind looked like a courthouse. We'd been for a brisk walk, coated, hatted, scarfed and gloved to keep warm. It was approaching beer o' clock and I was thinking of one of the bars off Nowy Swiat. Beer o' clock soon turned into wine o'clock when we clocked a cute little wine bar, which I hadn't noticed before. It was called Wineria Tblisi... and the barman sold us a bottle of red, which he told us all about before we made our way upstairs to its mezzanine floor to unwrap ourselves. Turned out it was the opening day and family and friends - Polish Georgians if I can use that as a description.. were arriving and soon the small, but very cute bar was full. A few toasts, a few nibbles and some Georgian dancing outside on the street later, and the bottle was gone! It was delicious! Decided to buy another for take out...because a couple of hours chilling out at home was called for, before we hit the town.
