The Old Harbour

The Council cut down more of the trees which were choking the banks of the Forth in Forthside last week - revealing a new view of this old landing stage and the old harbour area. Try large.

Ships called up the Forth to Stirling until after the second world war, and before the railway era ships were the regular way to travel to Edinburgh. Now it is all quiet apart from the occasional scull.

You can see our house overlooking the scene.
