A Little Lost Sometimes

Evening all.

This is one of those all too rare blips (for me at least), which celebrates the small acts of human kindness which are so easily forgotten, overlooked or overshadowed by the more popular stories of gruesome hideousness or huge sprawling grand gestures of global worthiness .

To sum it up, an e-mail came round at work the other day from the guy who is in charge of the laundry at the trust, one of those forgotten areas of he NHS which literally are indispensable.

Amongst the thousands of sheets, pillow cases, counterpanes, draw sheets and disjecta membra they must encounter everyday, they took the time not only to rescue these much loved companions of little children; but then to send an e mail all around the hospital to every ward and department to see if they could be reunited with their children.

I think that is lovely, a simple gesture of kindness and thought, which, whilst it may not be universally recognised or lauded, are the little things that make life liveable.
