The long shadow of Salisbury Crags

I was up on Salisbury Crags not long after sunrise this morning. Not a feat to shout about really, as the sun doesn't come up till 8:30 am or so at the moment.

I'd ended up on the top path of the Crags rather than the lower one as it was shut due to the cliff face being unstable. Very glad to be there too, as I was able to see the sun just cresting Arthur's Seat behind me, and when it did, the shadow cast over towards Calton Hill. In this shot I love the way the monuments are just starting to be picked out by the morning sun.

Great day to be in Edinburgh. The rest of the selected photos from my morning walk are over here. Enjoy x
