from dornoch to golspie (the wrong direction) so an about turn down to Bonar Bridge and up to an old church in a deserted glen. back down to Bonar Bridge and up, up and away to Wick in blazing blue skies and scudding clouds. bright green fields and shadows of clouds on the sea. met an out-and-out Wicker and a friendly scouser. i then turned for home by car and train, dragging myself through the door at 10.30pm.
