Pearls are for tears.....

My favourite books for years (and even now if I am honest) were the Anne of Green Gables books & I especially loved the description of the pearl engagement ring Gilbert gives Anne! Since then I have always loved pearls & it has become a bit of a tradition for Barry to give them to me on special occasions - today is my birthday & these are the beautiful earrings I have been given - aren't I lucky? :)
