Cloudscape

A walk by the shore in the last sun of the afternoon, without rain. Joy. And when I turned to look downriver, this towering cloudscape just cried out to have its photo taken. Above the mainland, and to the south of the Great Cumbrae, you can see the more level grey clouds of the approaching weather, but the first rainclouds obligingly marched north on the mainland side of the water and let us enjoy the sunset and the afterglow as we returned to where we had left the car.

Now, a couple of hours later, the sound of hail (or very hard rain) is audible on the windows, though it's too dark to see.
