"The P.S. MELBOURNE..again.." ...

...It was a lovely day today, and I thought I'd take another capture of the old P.S. MELBOURNE..I hope you're not getting tired of looking at her by now!!

...But we were on our way down to the street this morning and heard her whistle blowing, and so we headed toward the old wharf there, just in time to see her heading down to the Sandbar and here she is - in full steam as she disappears down around the river bend...

...You can see the old Wharf here, very old and it marks the spot where they brought stock across the river from New South Wales well over 160 years ago..it was the first known area where stock had been brought across the river...

...The wharf is still used, not for transporting stock, but for fishing and for mooring a vessel or craft..or just to walk down upon, and to enjoy the river..
