Strings Of Royal Pearls?

We are in the grip of a second heatwave here in Queensland (tomorrow's forecast is for 36C) so I was out bright and early for a walk before the heat gained strength.

This fine palm tree (Syagrus romanzoffiana Queen Palm or Cocos Palm) grows right in the town centre and arecarrying multitudes of tiny flowers in long strings just like long necklaces, beloved by small bees. Each tiny flower becomes a small hard bead-like seed.

I do hope those fellow blippers on North Island, New Zealand are okay following the earthquake a few hours ago.
