Blue Monday?

It's Blue Monday, the supposedly most depressing day in the year. I thought I'd shoot the Blue Screen just inside St Giles Cathedral in the Royal Mile in Edinburgh as my blip today. It didn't work for me, being unable to move a particularly obstinate statue. I tried various other shots but none was to my liking. Turning round to come out, I saw this. I thought it was beautiful. It reminded me of an acquaintance who, when asked her what she did in her school, said she was the "cheerer up". She said, " I listened to myself one day and thought I had become a moaning git. So I just decided that I'd always look for something helpful or cheerful to say to friends and colleagues". A woman after my own heart!
