Greenock's Drummer's Close is a single pace from the main road but it feels like a step back in time. I like to think it evokes the atmosphere of the town in the nineteenth century. It is a dead end and a bit intimidating, even in broad daylight. Some day I'll work up the courage to walk to the end.
