Packhorse Bridge

Went down a road on way to Mum's Home that's intrigued me for ages, and came upon this bridge at Water Orton, built about 1520 by Bishop Vesey no less, to replace an old wooden bridge. Incredible. Looks like an idyllic country scene, and yet surrounded by factories and estates.

The cars queued up and waited for each other to cross - it's very narrow. We tried to walk alongside the River Tame - managed for a bit and then found ourselves inside some sort of works. Very beautiful - we'll try to find a path another day.
