Shenzhen: Ready for Class

A year ago today was my first blip. And like the seasons, it was of Chinese traditional instruments!

Before going home tonight I thought it best to set out and tune the instruments for the 8.30am Grade 5 class tomorrow. Those eight guzheng (the zithers at the back) took some work.

Over the past three weeks (leading to our Chinese New Year school holiday) the lucky little students have tried the guzheng, then last lesson added the erhu (the two-string 'Chinese violin' at the left) and finally tomorrow we'll add in the three yangqin (dulcimer). Great to have these wonderful traditional instruments to play with.
