Gently down the stream

Waterworld

This morning I left my lovely people at home sleeping and walked along the river path between Itchen Stoke and Ovington, 2 tiny villages on either side of the water, very close to each other, but a lot further apart by road.

This path, genuinely and permanently, runs down the side of the river, so there's a wide strip of fast flowing water on the right and a narrower one on the left. It's an odd sensation, that walk, but whatever the time of year incredibly beautiful. The footbridge at the end leads into Ovington (a line of cottages, a big house, a church and my favourite pub - all very feudal!).

So here is the Itchen with the fog lifting and the sun breaking through - pretty stunning weather for taking pictures.

Enjoy the rest of your day and have a good evening xx
