Misty Woods

Up and out early this morning as the fog horns sounding in the Solent indicated that the island was fog bound.

Indeed when I entered my favourite copse of trees it was hard to see more than a few yards. Although the hoped for sun didn't break through to produce some rays of light I did manage to come away with some frost and fog images which should make nice prints.

I tried several dragged exposure shots and particularly liked this one which I hope evokes the misty silence on the woodland path.

As I was leaving for breakfast at the farm shop cafe the fog rose and disappeared and the magical atmosphere was gone.
