Away from home.

War Poets collection, Craiglockhart campus.

It's an honour and a privilege to work at Craiglockhart. The oldest parts of the building go back to 1880, but it is best remembered as a hospital for army officers during The Great War – specifically from 1917. Here the men who went to be known as the War Poets carried out much of their most important work: Wilfred Owen, Siegfried Sassoon and others.

We have a small museum at the campus, and I suspect this will be a theme I return to during 2014 and the WWI centenary commemorations.
