Ouch

Today I had to go to see the physios at the local hospital, as I have managed to pick up a form of tendonitis known as DeQuervain's (and colloquially known as 'mummy's thumb'). It's apparently very common postnatally due to having to hold the hand in new and unfamiliar ways (eg through picking up the baby, h0lding them as they feed, etc). Today I got given this splint to try and stop the thumb moving about so much as this is particularly painful, and then next week I have to go back for a steroid injection in my wrist. Lovely.
