Bridge on the Pennine Way

This is Hebble Hole Bridge - a grade II listed Clapper bridge over the Colden Water on the route of the Pennine Way.
Probably late C17 or early C18. it is constructed of 4 enormous stone stabs in pairs supported by roughly dressed upright stones. A single cast
iron railing acts as handrail.
It's an excellent example of its type and links the
townships of Blackshaw and Heptonstall.
It's better viewed 'Large'.
As you can see - the Pennine Way is just a muddy mess :-(
