Worlds Oldest Football

On a wet day today had a visit to the Stirling Smith Museum and Art Gallery. Apart from an exhibition about the Ryder Cup this Football caught my eye. It was found in the rafters of the Queen's Chamber in Stirling Castle. The ceiling had been enclosed in 1540 indicating that this ball must have been accidentally kicked up there around that time.
