Hawk

I watched this hawk in the tree for at least an hour. When I first saw it I got excited because not very far from here there have been sightings of snowy owls. I saw this hawk fly from the ground to the tree and saw its white wings and thought maybe I was seeing a snowy owl. But as I got the binoculars, I could see it was a hawk. I don't know exactly what kind, but definitely a hawk. This is taken from my back porch. He was concentrating hard because he didn't mind me moving around or even Riley.

Below zero temperatures today, and again tomorrow. The local weather man teased us with images of people in swimming pools taken back in July.
