Hail storm

Just as it was getting dark, we had a sudden and very sharp hail storm. Difficult to see in the image as it was almost dark but in front of the house it looked like it had snowed. It is hail rather than sand on the island!
It certainly caught out the gardener in chief. Otherwise a quiet day today putting more trees in and pottering about in the garden - not much choice as the car wouldn't start anyway....
