Sun Dog Over The Frozen Arctic Sea

During a trip to Hudson bay area of Canada to photograph some Polar Bears and Arctic Foxes, we saw some great wildlife. On the last day a few hours before our flight home we came across this wonderful Sun Dog. A Sun Dog is a naturally occurring in very cold weather, it is due to the way the atmospheric phenomena creates bright spots in the sky as a luminous ring on either side of the sun. This was a truly amazing sight and a great photographic opportunity for any Lovers of Light.
