About to be caught

Rode down to South Melbourne this morning to watch J race in a criterium. Only his second race (although he did a few in Queensland years back), and he came third in E grade. Pretty windy, so not the easiest of conditions. At least it wasn't wet, or there would have been plenty of spills on the corners. We hung around to watch some of the higher grades race after, which included a woman from the Australian team mixing it with the B grade men. Very impressive.

This photo was taken towards the end of the D grade race. Poor guy... he'd led most of the way. Check out the chase BIG too.
