Another bookshop, another queue

We arrived at the bookshop dead on six o'clock and the place was already filled with people clutching books for Peter to sign. He sat for almost two hours signing for a steady stream of people.
Just as they still buy their bread from their local baker, and their meat from their local butcher, in Paris the independent bookstore is where most people buy their books, and take advice on what to read next from the owners.
