Tube horrors

For the last few weeks I've been chuckling to myself every time the tube crawls through Embankment station, which is closed for repairs. The 'mind the gap' message is still playing, making the whole experience reminiscent of a ride at Halloween. Any second, you expect the train to come to a juddering halt, the light to start flickering and a load of students dressed up as zombies to start battering the side of the train.

Anyway, this week the construction work at Victoria saw a signal room flooded with wet concrete, a scenario which must feature in someone's tube nightmares.
