History in a wall

I pass this wall regularly on one of Kassidy's walk

I try to imagine what happened to make someone block up the two oddly positioned original windows with their arched tops

and add the even more oddly placed newer window

The grass around here is beyond saturated - swamp like springs to mind - so I'm having to be careful where we actually walk
